At Al-Farraj Group (Black Tiger) Water Fire Extinguishers

The 6 litre water spray fire extinguisher has a fire rating of 13A which is the standard used for most fire risk calculations, with roughly one 13A-rated extinguisher per 2000 sq ft or 200 sq m per floor. Part of the respected PowerX range from TG, it's Kitemarked to BS EN3, CE Marked and has a 5 year warranty.

Due to some clever technology, the spray nozzle stops the water-conducting electricity (tested to 35,000 volts - by someone brave!). And, that means that, when it gets used or tested every fifth year by the engineer, there are no harmful additives or foam to illegally get into the water system (and no expensive refill costs). Plus, this one is pressurised with nitrogen or air making it cheap and easy for any competent engineer to service.

Environmentally friendly, this 35kVA dielectric tested meaning it is safe if inadvertently sprayed on electrical equipment and performs well in harsh environments with a 13A 25F fire rating.

Manufactured in Europe, the water mist fire extinguishers use a fine mist rather than a jet of dimineralised water. As a result, the water has a larger surface area than in its natural state meaning it can then spread further and cool quicker, causing a blanket effect which reduces oxygen so the flames die out. And because the water particles are so small, they leave no trace and therefore will not flood, damage an area, or cause electrocution.

Part of the FireChief range, the 6 litre water mist fire extinguisher has a strong plastic base and brass valve assemblies, is CE Marked, Kitemarked to BS EN3 and has a 6 year warranty.

Our 9ltr water extinguisher with antifreeze is suitable for areas where the low temperatures of winter cannot easily be protected against. The antifreeze in the extinguisher allows it to still operate in temperatures as low as -9°C. Anything below 0°C will not only stop a water extinguisher working, but is also likely to damage the internal lining. Then, your service technician may tell you it needs replacing and it won't be covered by the warranty. An expensive exercise than can be avoided.

This extinguisher still has the same 6 year warranty that our standard water extinguishers have and can still be commissioned and serviced by any competent technician to British Standard 5306 Part 3.
